HAPPY CHRISTMAS

Summervale

Yes, I’m back at last. I’m afraid things have been a bit fraught these last few weeks as all my grandchildren have been ill with the dreaded swine flu.

Thankfully, and fingers crossed they are all on the mend and will be waiting for Santa to bring their special presents.

Last April I was 65 and begged for a low key celebration remembering my 60th!

At that time I said to Mike that I would love to go to Paris to celebrate my birthday as I had never been to France and had always loved everything French. Probably because Mum was half-French.

Anyway, my wish was granted – we went to ………….

Euro Disney with all the family! Umm, not quite what I had in mind.

This year we just went to Bournemouth for few days and met up with old friends. Very pleasant and sensible.

On our return from Bournemouth we went to Lily & Dennis Crocker’s Diamond Wedding celebration which inspired me to start this Blog. It was wonderful reminiscing but I was acutely aware that we are all getting older and those memories of Summervale may soon be lost.
